What does everyone think about such entertainment as Jackass/Borat.?

There seems to be a lot of complaining that “mindless” entertainment is ruining our society. Movies like Jackass and Borat are degrading us and sending a wrong message to our children. Sure, the average American would rather drool over 3 hours of American Idol or Survivor every night rather than find out whats going in the world. However, I feel we should have things like jackass in our society, we seem to have everything else. Its only 2 hours, 2 hours of fun and enjoyment for many people. Sure, it may be mindless, but its funny – It can take people away from reality and distract them from their problems, even if its just for 2 hours. I’m just looking for some other point of views.
There are a lot of people who seem to adamantly complain about this type of entertainment. I say, if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

I think we need a healthy balance. I enjoyed “Borat” and both “Jackass” movies but I also like to keep myself informed about what’s going on. I like to laugh but I also like to think.

children are idiots, people need to realize that are responsible for their actions regardless, if a drunk driver kills someone can not say, "Well I was drunk and did not know what he was doing" if someone makes the decision to get drunk they are responsible for the consequences, same goes for someone who is pregnant, who are responsible for what may come of their actions, in favor of abortion is the decision not to be knocked out in the first place, people must learn to act like adults, nobody is responsible for his life, but if you sit around of video games do not come to me for free money, no one is entitled to nothing
