Earlier this football season, the Dallas Cowboys looked like a legitimate Super Bowl. After the Patriots, Tom Brady suffered a season-ending knee injury, the Cowboys was the favorite candidate.

But a funny thing happened. They started playing games.

It appears that Adam "Pacman" Jones may be a bit more off the field type that is in the field.

Jones recently made headlines by (supposedly) attacking a member of his security staff. According to a report in Joseph's bodyguard in the bathroom of a Dallas hotel, waited until the guy was using a urinal, and jumped from behind.

As my colleague fictional Borat might say, "Nice."

If Jones had exhibited that kind of reflection Earlier Sunday, he and the Cowboys could have beaten the Arizona Cardinals. Instead, they lost in overtime, 26-20, and now share an identical record with the Cardinals, whose name has recently been synonymous with failure.

Pacman is not just cowboy operators. The receiver Terrell Owens has been publicly complaining about his role in the Dallas offense. Never mind the fact that it is by far the thrown-to receiver on the team, and has recently led the NFL in dropped passes. It does not feel that is being used properly and, gosh, that will make that fact known. Not pulling your coach or coordinator on one side and talk about it, but by shouting from the rooftops, front with cameras and microphones. Of course, we all know that is how you love to express, in front of cameras and bright lights. Without them, would be Terrell, pure and simple.

Now, the Cowboys have a bigger problem than the loudmouth cornerbacks and receivers problems. Quarterback Tony Romo has a broken pinkie and is out for four weeks.

With the meat of the Cowboys the NFC East schedule up, this is not good news. The NFC is a difficult conference, and although all four teams are probably good enough for the playoffs, only three of them will. At the start of the season, the Washington Redskins looked like the team that was out. Would not it be ironic if the Cowboys proved to be the observation team from the postseason from their couches and La-Z-Boys?
